Four Stars for "4000 Miles"

"Narrative skills triumph", says the H&P Times review about HLT's latest play, 4000 Miles, winner of the 2012 Obie Award for Best New American Play. The Times' Marianne Kelly agrees with Time magazine’s reviewer that: "'[Amy] Herzog unravels details slowly, with uncommon narrative skill'," then says, "This is where the challenge is presented for the HLT audience to follow the dialogue between grandmother and grandson, which Ingrid Prossor and Paul Trimmer overcome with superior stamina and skill. The debate traverses a large generation gap from differing political views, to human relationships and the inevitable baggage that comes with family."
