About

Set in 1924, The Cat’s Meow offers a fascinating cross-section of famous Jazz Era characters, including film legend Charlie Chaplin and movie star Marion Davies, who gather for a weekend on William Randolph Hearst’s yacht. This darkly comic morality play, laced with clandestine romance and steadily heating tensions, is based on a true story. The LA Times described this murder mystery as “a stylish and sardonically funny exposé of corrupt Tinseltown values”.  The Auckland premiere.
