Everyone loves a rich uncle

A widow with five grown-up children, Mrs Dermott turns to her rich brother, Dan, for help when the family fall on hard times. When Dan arrives back in the UK from South America, he finds the charming, lazy family ready to live on his supposed wealth. Determined to motivate the children into becoming more independent, he announces that he will leave his fortune to whoever accomplishes the most in three years.
