FUNDRAISING CONCERTS BY THE ST ANDREW'S BIG BAND
Many thanks to the St Andrew’s Big Band (SABB) and musical director Hamish Arthur for two fabulous sold-out fundraising concerts at HLT on Saturday, December 17. The money raised will be shared between HLT and the Auckland City Mission. Thanks to the following musicians: Geoffrey Huang, Emily Mein-Smith, and Mace Wilkin (Alto Saxophone); Jenna Aspeling, Mark Burgess, Morgan Wills (Tenor Saxophone); Emily Jensen (Baritone Saxophone); Samantha Bottom, Katherine Brzozowski, Sarah Pearson, Sarah Robertson-Bickers, Phevos Shiu, Cameron Sio, Angus Zeng (Trumpet); Hamish Brown, William Ha, Athena Shiu, Janel Tolentino, Tavite Tonga (Trombone); Andrew Choi, Sam Scanlan (Guitar); Sue Lynn Leong, Connor Magatogia (Piano); Andrew Botting (Bass); Behzad Karkaria (Drums), and Isabel King (Vocals). The HLT raffle, that included a fabulous Christmas cake, goodies and two tickets to an APO concert, was drawn by Hamish and the winner was Penny Hudson. Thank you to all those who supported this extra fundraising by HLT, and thanks to the Auckland Philharmonia for their generous donation of the tickets. Thank you also to HLT members Dylan Day and Vic Leilua, who worked on the sound and lights for the concerts.
